2013-2014 School Year Calendar Proposals
FCPS is sharing proposals for the academic calendar for the 2013-2014 school year. We’re seeking comment, feedback, and questions from the entire FCPS community. FCPS is sharing two possible alternative calendars:
Calendar A: Teachers report August 13 and students report August 19. The last day of school for students is June 10 and June 11 for teachers (including five snow days).
Calendar B: Teachers report August 20 and students report August 26. The last day of school for students is June18 and June 19 for teachers (including five snow days).
These proposals were developed by a committee that included FCPS parents, teachers, students, administrators, and others. The committee conducted extensive outreach as part of their work to develop the proposals and sought input widely.
