What is Special Education?

image "Special Education" means specially designed instruction, at no cost to the parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability, including instruction conducted in the classroom, in the home, in hospitals or institutions, and in other settings. Special education includes related services needed to complete the child's individualized program and can include speech/ language pathology services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, career and technology education, and instruction in physical education.
