Become an English Language Interpreter
Are you interested in providing language interpreting services for our school system? We partner with skilled contractors to support our students, families, and staff. Follow the steps below to register and begin working as an English Language Interpreter.
Step 1: Reach out to the Multilingual Education Program Coordinator of Interpreting Services
All interested individuals who are fluent in 2 or more languages can contact Ms. Sonia Dorsey, Coordinator of Multilingual Education Program Interpreting Services via email.
Step 2: Approval by the Multilingual Education Program Office
Once your interest is received, the Multilingual Education Program Office will review your information and determine your eligibility.
- You may be contacted if additional information is needed.
- If approved, your name will be forwarded to Human Resources to begin the background check process.
Step 3: Background Check with Human Resources
After Multilingual Education Program approval, you will receive instructions from Human Resources to complete the required background check.
- All contractors must successfully complete this step before receiving assignments.
- Human Resources will notify you when your background check has been cleared and you are approved to work as a contractor.
Step 4: Begin Accepting Assignments
Once you are fully approved, you may begin accepting available jobs as an English Language Interpreter.
