Frederick County Public Schools announces additional personnel changes, most of which take effect July 1 for the 2019-2020 school year.
Oakdale High School’s new principal is Lisa M. Smith, following Donna Clabaugh’s move to the FCPS Human Resources Department as senior manager of employee benefits. Ms. Smith began her FCPS career in 2007 at Linganore High School, after teaching for two years in Prince Georges County. At Linganore High, she taught Government, AP Government and Politics, Sociology, and World War II until she was promoted to assistant principal of Tuscarora High School in 2014.She earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in history and secondary social studies education in 2005 from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master of Science degree in educational leadership in 2011 from Hood College.

Shawn Carey is promoted from College and Career Readiness teacher at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School to assistant principal there.
Assistant Principal Cynthia Hanlon is transferring from Urbana High to Tuscarora High School.
Ashley Fisher is promoted from teacher specialist to Urbana High School assistant principal.
