Maryland Schools Closed through May 15: Distance Learning to Continue

In accordance with State Superintendent Dr. Karen B. Salmon's directive today, Friday, April 17, 2020, all Maryland public schools including Frederick County public schools will remain closed through Friday, May 15, 2020. The Maryland State Department of Education will continue to reassess the situation to determine when schools can re-open.

Distance learning will continue. FCPS will continue to post updates at www.fcps.org/update

The school system also continues to send FindOutFirst (FOF) emails. Any parents not getting these emails should provide their email address to their child(ren)'s school(s). When school staff enters the parent's email address in eSchool, the FOF account is generated with the correct school and grade level for each student. School and grade level will update automatically thereafter.
