This month, 61 graduates in the FCPS Class of 2026 are earning both a high school diploma and an associate degree via the Frederick Community College.

Early College Program

Once again this year, more students than ever took advantage of the Early College Program to simultaneously earn a high school diploma and an associate degree from FCC. This is the fifth year of the Early College Program.

The Early College Program allows students to attend FCC during their junior and senior years as full-time undergraduate students. They follow the FCC academic calendar, with options to take day, evening, online and weekend courses. Early College graduates were eligible to take part in a ceremony at FCC earlier this month and will participate in their own high school graduations this week.

Earlier this month, 56 students graduated from the Frederick Community College Program.

Earning an associate degree via Dual Enrollment 

In addition to the Early College graduates, five additional FCPS students also earned their associate degree at FCC by participating in other Dual Enrollment programs, such as Open Campus and High School Based.
