FCPS Celebrates Youth Art Month with Student Exhibition at The Delaplaine Arts Center

In celebration of Youth Art Month, Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) will present the annual FCPS Youth Art Month Student Exhibition at The Delaplaine Arts Center. The exhibition features more than 400 two- and three-dimensional artworks created by students from every FCPS public school. Each FCPS visual art teacher selected three outstanding student pieces, highlighting the creativity and dedication of both students and educators across the county.

Dates: Saturday, March 7 – Sunday, March 29, 2026
Location: The Delaplaine Arts Center, 40 S. Carroll Street, Frederick, MD 21701
Hours: Monday–Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Sunday: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM
Admission: Free
Parking: East All Saints Parking Garage (125 East All Saints Street) and metered street parking nearby

In addition to the student exhibition, visitors are encouraged to view the Frederick County Public Schools Faculty Show, also on display at The Delaplaine Arts Center.

The Bettie Award Exhibition, featuring artworks by local youth selected as the 2026 Bettie Award winners, will be on display March 7 through April 26. An awards ceremony will take place on March 7 at 2:00 PM, when winners and the $1,000 Grand Prize recipient will be announced. The Bettie Award Grand Prize Winner will receive $1,000. All other Bettie Award winners will receive $100. Community members are invited to vote for the People’s Choice Award. The artwork that receives the most votes will be named the People’s Choice Award Winner and receive $250.
