The Human Resources Career Cluster in CTE programs prepares students for careers focused on leadership, service, and community impact. Through hands-on training and real-world experience, students develop essential skills in communication, problem-solving, safety, and teamwork. This cluster also features Child Development programs that guide students towards careers in early childhood education, whether working in childcare centers or pursuing degrees in the education. These programs lay the groundwork for high-demand careers in public service, education, and emergency response, helping students make a difference in their communities.

(Open to all Juniors and Seniors)
  • Year 1 classes are held at The Frederick County’s Public Safety Training Facility
  • Year 2 - Classes are held at a local Fire Station

Career and Technical Student Organizations

CTE Educators Rising

CTSOs are student-led organizations that provide   opportunities for students to develop leadership,   teamwork, and career-related skills. They often focus on specific career fields such as business, technology, agriculture, or health/human services. These co-curricular student experiences are embedded within various CTE programs. CTSOs can offer a variety of activities, including competitions, conferences, community service projects, and networking events.
