Overview
All children are offered two periods of general music and visual art each week. Fourth and fifth graders in all elementary schools can enroll in the instrumental music program.
Art
Elementary students create 2-D and 3-D art, using vast array of media.
General Music
Students participate in general music lessons and may also choose to take part in their school chorus. Fifth-grade students can audition for the annual FCPS Elementary Honors Chorus.
Instrumental Music
All fourth and fifth grade students may participate in band or orchestra at their elementary schools. Instrumental lessons are offered once a week.
smARTS Series
The annual smARTS series at the Weinberg Center for the Arts gives elementary school students the chance to attend a live musical or theater production.
