Meet the Board: Malachi Macon, Student Board Member

Malachi Macon, Student Member of the Board
Elected term: July 2019 - June 2020


Malachi Macon is native to Frederick and has attended FCPS since elementary school. He has earned several Character Counts! awards, in addition to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award. He earned the Presidential Award at Monocacy Middle for outstanding academic performance. In addition, Malachi was active in Jazz Band and held a lead role in the drama club’s annual play. He attends Governor Thomas Johnson High School and is a member of the Patriot NJROTC program as a Cadet Chief Petty Officer. He is also on the color guard team, drill team,  cybersecurity team, and in the Robotics Club. Malachi was in the Pop Warner and Mid-Maryland Youth Football Leagues for over 5 years, obtaining the national Pop Warner award for academics and athleticism, and he was also selected to various all-star teams. Thrilled with the opportunity to serve as Student Member of the Board, Malachi is dedicated to representing all students to the best of his ability.
