Paige Tolbard, Student Member of the Board
Current elected term: July 2018 - June 2019

Paige Tolbard was voted by the students of FCPS to hold the position and fulfill the duties of Student Member of the Board of Education for the 2018-2019 school year. As a member of National Honor Society and Student Government Association Executive Committee, Vice President of National Spanish Honor Society and a Girl Scout Gold Award Recipient, Paige is active in a diverse range of clubs in her school. She is also a member of the Frederick High girls back to back State Champion track team, as well as a 2018 individual State Champion in the girl’s indoor shot put and a silver medalist in 2018 girl’s outdoor shot put and discus. She was the 2018 All County Indoor Field Athlete of the Year for Frederick County.

As Student Member of the Board, Paige plans to represent all FCPS students regardless of socioeconomic status, race, sexual orientation/gender identity, or language spoken. Her main goal is to ensure that students feel connected with the Student Member of the Board, and are able to directly communicate their thoughts with her via social media and surveys. Paige wants to be certain that the non-English speaking students of FCPS feel equally represented as their English speaking counterparts by translating her announcements into the necessary languages. By means of this, she would like to increase student participation with the position. She also wants to tackle the issues of school safety and college and career readiness. Paige is open to discussion of her goals and primary issues as Student Member of the Board, and is excited to begin in July of 2018.

You can get in touch with the Student Member of the Board via email, at, or on social media.
