Will Anderson, Student Member of the Board
Current elected term: July 2017 - June 2018

Will Anderson was elected in 2017 to serve the students of FCPS on the Board of Education for the '17-'18 school year. A rising Senior at Walkersville High School, Will spends his time outside of the classroom participating in the WHS Theatre Department, Boy Scouts, Academic Team, and Unified Track. He has previously served as Treasurer of the Maryland Association of Student Councils, Second Vice President of the Frederick County Association of Student Councils, and he is currently President of the WHS Student Government Association. In addition to Student Government, Will advocates on behalf of students by serving on the Maryland Youth Advisory Council in the Governor's Office for Children.

As Student Member of the Board (SMOB), Will is tasked with representing the voice of all FCPS students across all grade levels and schools. His priorities are broadening course offerings and ensuring FCPS brings in and retains excellent teachers for our students. Will is passionate about getting students involved in advocacy and also wants to continue the discussion on SMOB voting rights. If you have other topics, issues, or input for Will to bring to the board, he would love to hear from you!

You can get in touch with the Student Member of the Board via email, at, or on social media.
