The FCPS Purchasing Department obtains the goods and services necessary for the students and staff in the most cost-effective and efficient manner, and we encourage open competition among vendors through fair negotiation, competitive bidding and contract buying.

PaymentWorks logoFrederick County Public Schools has partnered with PaymentWorks, a third-party, self-service supplier portal to help manage supplier information and payment methods. Beginning on 1/1/2026, all suppliers must register with PaymentWorks. This system allows us to securely collect updated supplier information and ensures timely and accurate payments.

Purchasing will be inviting our current suppliers to register for PaymentWorks. Any questions, please contact [email protected].
