EOD LogoThe Office of Academics and Organizational Development comprises two essential departments dedicated to advancing educational equity, excellence, and growth within FCPS. The Department of Leadership and Organizational Development is committed to fostering the professional growth of staff and the holistic development of students through equity-driven, evidence-informed approaches that ensure equitable access to opportunities and resources while addressing barriers impacting marginalized communities. This department cultivates an inclusive culture, elevates student voice, supports professional growth and development, and strengthens partnerships with higher education and community organizations. Concurrently, the Department of Curriculum and Instruction provides leadership in the design, implementation, and evaluation of rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum and instructional programs across a broad spectrum of disciplines. This department ensures compliance with state and national standards, develops assessment tools, oversees curriculum effectiveness, and collaborates district-wide to deliver professional learning and direct support to schools, preparing all students for success in college, careers, and beyond.
