The Maryland State Department of Education requests for public comment


Seeking Public Comment: Career and Technical Education (CTE)

The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) is soliciting public comment on the proposed revisions to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) content standards. The public comment period for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) content standards opened on May 15, 2025, and will close on Monday, June 16, 2025. All persons desiring to comment on the proposed revisions to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) content standards should submit comments by completing the public comment form no later than June 16, 2025. Any questions regarding the form can be sent via email to [email protected].

All comments received will be reviewed by MSDE and considered in the finalization process.

Revised- Seeking Public Comment: Health Education Regulation and Framework

On November 4, 2025, the Maryland State Board of Education unanimously approved the draft revised Comprehensive Health Education Regulation and Framework for publication. The Maryland State Department of Education is now accepting public comment through February 9, 2026, and encourages all Local Education Agency Superintendents to share the survey with their community partners.
