High quality instruction and student engagement occurs across FCPS, and our Title I schools are no exception. FCPS identifies their Title I schools as STAR schools - Serving Together, Achieving Results. Title I schools receive supplemental federal funds based on the percentage of students who qualify for Free and Reduced-Price Meals. These supplemental funds provide additional staffing, instructional materials, professional learning, technology and family engagement opportunities to foster student engagement and accelerate achievement. FCPS offers Schoolwide Title I programs at Butterfly Ridge, Hillcrest, Lincoln, Monocacy, and Waverley Elementary Schools. FCPS will also offer Title I programs at Crestwood Middle, and West Frederick Middle through Targeted Assistance in the 2025-2026 school year.
