2021 Graduation Dates
Frederick County Public Schools is planning in-person graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2021 that will take place outdoors at home stadiums.
COVID-19 health and safety protocols will be observed for the ceremony. Seating will be physically distanced with hand sanitizing stations available throughout the stadiums. All graduates will be permitted to invite four guests. Due to the limited number of guests, each graduation will be livestreamed so that friends, family and community can view the ceremony in real time. The recordings will also be available on the individual school’s and FCPS YouTube channels. Links to each livestream will be provided prior to the event.
Most ceremonies have been scheduled for the morning in the hopes of avoiding high afternoon temperatures and inclement weather. Plans for inclement weather are under development and will be shared at a later date.
The full graduation schedule is posted below. For livestraming during the event, click on the school's name to view their YouTube channel.

Inclement Weather Plan
Commencement ceremonies will be held rain or shine.
In the event of severe inclement weather, every attempt will be made to reschedule later on the same day. If the ceremony cannot be held on the same day, FCPS will plan to hold the ceremony the next day. Specifics regarding any change will be shared as soon as possible via FCPS Find Out First and social media.
Limited Public Access to Stadiums
In order to prepare school sites for the ceremonies, all FCPS stadiums will be closed for public access and community use from May 27-June 5.
Heather Ridge School
Heather Ridge School is hosting a commencement ceremony at 6 p.m. June 1 at the school. Due to the ability to accommodate all guests, this ceremony will not be livestreamed.
