Blue Ribbon Task Force

The Blue Ribbon Task Force was created by Dr. Markoe, Deputy Superintendent. The charge for this task force is:

The task force will be charged with reviewing current programming and practices associated with FCPS specialized programs. In addition, the task force will be asked to explore proactive best practices for behavioral intervention. Through recommendations of the task force, program structures, resources and training will be augmented to guarantee optimal outcomes for the students of FCPS.

To enhance the work of the Blue Ribbon Task Force, parent/guardian representatives serving as members must be free to share personal stories of their children, including information protected under the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). To protect the privacy of students discussed in the course of business of the task force, meetings will not be open to the public. However, documents such as agendas, notes, and presentations will be updated here within the same week each time the task force meets.
