FCPS Reports Preliminary Enrollment

Frederick County Public Schools reports preliminary September 30 enrollment of 43,900. This is a net increase of 1,111 students over last year. 

“School enrollment is within six-tenths of a percent of the FCPS Facilities Planning team’s projection,” says FCPS Chief Operating Officer Paul Lebo. 

Last year’s September 30 enrollment, in 2018, reflected an increase of 585 students over 2017. 

This year, there are 20,329 students in grades preK-5, 10,289 students in grades 6-8 and 13,093 students in grades 9-12. There are an additional 189 students enrolled in special schools such as Heather Ridge, the SUCCESS Program, Rock Creek and Frederick County Virtual School.
