Maryland Schools to Remain Closed the Rest of the School Year: Distance Learning Continues

In accordance with State Superintendent Dr. Karen B. Salmon's directive today, all Maryland public schools including Frederick County public schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year. Distance learning will continue.

Future decisions related to the operation of schools and school-related activities will be determined by the indicators in the Governor's Roadmap to Recovery and the guidance in the Maryland State Department of Education's Recovery Plan for Education. FCPS will continue to post updates at www.fcps.org/update

The school system also continues to send FindOutFirst (FOF) email updates. Any parents not getting these emails should provide their email address to their child(ren)'s school(s). When school staff enters the parent's email address in eSchool, the FOF account is generated with the correct school and grade level for each student. School and grade level will update automatically thereafter. Parents who have provided the school a current email address should also take steps to whitelist the domain ezcommunicator.com so your email Internet Service Provider delivers FOF messaging to your inbox.
