Board of Education issues statement regarding administration of state testing

Given the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Education of Frederick County objects to plans related to state testing of students for the 2020-2021 school year. Tomorrow, March 4, 2021, the Maryland State Board of Education will meet at 4:15 p.m. to discuss state testing administration.

The Board of Education of Frederick County has submitted a statement to the Maryland State Board of Education advocating against the administration of State tests this year. The Board will also contact the U.S. Department of Education with the same message.

The Board's full letter to the State Board is posted here: https://fcps.ezcommunicator.net/edu/frederick/upload/0/14321.doc
