FCPS Celebrates Inaugural Early College Graduates

Fifteen Frederick County Public Schools seniors earned both a high school diploma and an associate degree from Frederick Community College as the first class in the Early College program.

The graduates took part in an FCC graduation ceremony last week and participated in their high school graduation ceremonies this week.

“The first Early College program graduates are true trailblazers,” FCPS Interim Superintendent Dr. Mike Markoe said. “They have worked exceptionally hard to earn two degrees through this important partnership with FCC.”

The Early College program allows students to attend FCC during their junior and senior years as full-time undergraduate students. They follow the FCC academic calendar, with options to take day, evening, online, and weekend courses. Early College students receive a discounted tuition rate at FCC.
