Twenty Frederick County Public Schools seniors earned both a high school diploma and an associate degree from Frederick Community College as the second class in the Early College program.

The graduates took part in an FCC graduation recognition ceremony Wednesday evening and will participate in their high school graduation ceremonies next week.

“We are so proud of these dedicated, hard-working students and all they accomplished,” FCPS Superintendent Dr. Cheryl L. Dyson said. “Our strong partnership with FCC gives students excellent opportunities to get a head start on their bright futures.”

The Early College program allows students to attend FCC during their junior and senior years as full-time undergraduate students. They follow the FCC academic calendar, with options to take day, evening, online, and weekend courses. FCPS high school students receive free tuition at FCC for all courses.
