Seven Frederick County Public Schools support employees are being celebrated in the 2024 Support Employee of the Year Award program.
This award recognizes employees who exemplify service and excellence to the FCPS community.
The exemplary employees are:
- Administrative Support Employee of the Year: Robin Hemp, Tuscarora High
- Food Service Support Employee of the Year: Tina Ford, Tuscarora High
- School-based Food Service Employee of the Year: Esther Snyder, Middletown High
- Operations Support Employee of the Year: Michael Bowles, Urbana High
- School Support Employee of the Year: Brandon Brewbaker, Frederick High
- Special Education Support Employee of the Year: Cheryl Desmond, Crestwood Middle
- Technical Support Employee of the Year: Philip Hannaby, User Support Specialist, New Market Middle
- Transportation Support Employee of the Year: Shelly Fraley, Bus Driver, who serves the Walkersville High, Middle, and Elementary communities
From this list of seven, one overall Support Employee of the Year will be announced at the May 15 Board of Education meeting when the entire group is honored. The overall winner will receive a cash award, a personal day off, special trophy and Board of Education pin. All category winners will receive trophies and certificates.
