Six Frederick County Public Schools employees have been recognized for their consistent support of students, staff, and the community via the 2025 FCPS Support Employee of the Year program.
The Support Employee of the Year program encourages students, staff, and the community to nominate FCPS employees who have provided outstanding service. A screening committee then reviews all nomination materials and selects the recipients.
“We are so grateful for our support employees who play such a vital role in the success of our community,” FCPS Superintendent Dr. Cheryl L. Dyson said. “These dedicated employees have gone above and beyond to provide outstanding service to students, staff and families.”
The exemplary employees are:
- Administrative Support Employee of the Year: Theresa Wisner, Central Office
- Food Service Support Employee of the Year: Casandra Allison, Middletown High
- Operations Support Employee of the Year: Livida Merlos, Ballenger Creek Middle
- School Support Employee of the Year: Curtiss Belcher, Brunswick High
- Special Education Support Employee of the Year: Courtney Prahl, Centerville Elementary
- Technical Support Employee of the Year: Tammy Barlow, Middletown High
The category winners listed above will receive a certificate and trophy. The overall winner will receive a cash award, a personal day off, a trophy, and a Board of Education pin.
The overall FCPS Support Employee of the Year will be selected and announced at the Board of Education meeting on May 21. It will be one of the six category winners.
