All 10 FCPS high schools field Unified Sports teams during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. These corollary athletic teams are comprised of students with and without disabilities competing alongside each other as teammates.

Below is information regarding the Unified Track and Field State High School Invitational that took place on Tuesday, May 17 at the PG Sports and Learning Complex:
FCPS Brings Home Gold at the 2022 Special Olympics Maryland Interscholastic Unified Sports Track and Field State High School Invitational
Seven FCPS high schools qualified for and participated in the 2022 Special Olympics Maryland Interscholastic Unified Sports (IUS) Track and Field State High School Invitational on Thursday, May 17 at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, MD. Catoctin, Tuscarora, Walkersville, Frederick, Oakdale, Lingnaore and Urbana all had teams that qualified for the state meet from the District 3/FCPS Unified Track and Field Championships that were held at Frederick High School on May 2.
Urbana took home Gold in Division 4, and the combined team of Frederick/Oakdale/Linganore took home Gold in Division 3. Note: Attached are pictures of these two teams.
Tuscarora finished as silver medalists in Division 2 while Walkersville (Division 2) and Catoctin (Division 1) were 5th place finishers in their respective divisions.
FCPS offers three Unified Sports Programs throughout the school year. Through their partnership with Special Olympics Maryland, FCPS offers Unified Tennis in the fall, Unified Bocce in the Winter and Unified Track and Field in the Spring.
