Board of Education
BOE Listening Session: Catoctin Feeder Pattern
Board of Education Listening Session
Catoctin High School Media Center
14745 Sabillasville Road
Community Listening Sessions are informal meetings at which no Board business will be conducted other than to provide the public with an opportunity to provide comment on matters of educational interest.
The informal structure of the Community Listening Session will allow the community to highlight areas of celebration and areas of advocacy or concern that allow for dialogue and communication between a wide range of families and across all communities.
Community members will be able to discuss issues with the Board related to the school system, except those that pertain to individual personnel issues, complaints identifying individual students, matters that are on appeal, or advertising or solicitations for products or services. If individuals have specific concerns relating to actions of staff members, such concerns may be communicated to the Superintendent.
Allocated Public Comment Time:
The Board will provide a maximum of 90 minutes for communication with the public during the Community Listening Sessions.
In order to estimate the amount of community members that plan to participate, the Board will provide the opportunity to pre-register for a seat at the Community Listening Session. The window to pre-register will open concurrent with the public posting of the meeting agenda and will close one (1) day before the scheduled Community Listening Session. A person wishing to secure a seat may pre-register by completing the form linked here or by calling (301) 696-6965.
Community members will be asked to provide the same information as those who pre-register by completing the registration form upon arrival.
If you are in need of an interpreter for this meeting, please contact Kathryn Rich, Executive Assistant to the Board, at Kathryn.firstname.lastname@example.org or 301-696-6917.
