Biography

Elijah Steele, is a Senior at Governor Thomas Johnson High School. He manages the school’s Varsity and JV basketball team. He has participated in Student Government Association (SGA) since his freshman year, along with being a Frederick County Association of Student Councils (FCASC) member since middle school. He also participates in National Honor Society, Black Student Union as Treasurer, Asian Student Union, Hispanic Student Society, International Club, and Junior Executive Club.

His main goal as the Student Member of the Board is to ensure that every student's voice is heard and to demonstrate that they can effect change both through the Student Member of the Board and independently. Students should be aware of their right to express their concerns and know that the education system is dedicated to their improvement. His goal is to build strong relationships with students across the county, encouraging open communication to listen to their needs and ensure their safety.
