Chief of Staff
Dr. Sarah Sirgo is the Chief of Staff for Frederick County Public Schools. She is new to the district, starting August 1, 2022. She oversees:
Education: Dr. Sirgo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in hearing and speech sciences and a Doctor of Philosophy in organizational leadership and policy studies – both from the University of Maryland College Park. She also holds a graduate certificate in administration and supervision from Johns Hopkins University.
Background: Since 1999, Dr. Sirgo has served in public education beginning her career as a speech language pathologist and special education teacher. Prior to joining FCPS, Dr. Sirgo served as Director of Learning, Achievement and Administration for Montgomery County Public Schools. There, she supported 26 schools and 18,000 students. She also has served as an adjunct faculty member at Hood College and Bowie State University.
