Educational Facilities Master Plan

Pursuant to Education Article §5-303, the Board of Education approves an annual Educational Facilities Master Plan (EFMP) in June and submits it to the Interagency Commission on School Construction (IAC). In addition to documenting the supply of and demand for educational facilities, the EFMP is a platform to inform the State, the local government, and the public of each Local Education Agency’s (LEA) annual Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The EFMP guides the annual FCPS capital budget submission to the County and State in the fall.

This is the 2024 annual update of the Educational Facilities Master Plan.
